Highland Care Center just north of Lake Padden, on the south side of Bellingham combines the best features of a quality care facility: We’re small enough to be a genuine community where personalized services and knowledge of our residents means superior care, but we’re large enough to be a full care facility offering a comprehensive array of services that are expected in a skilled care center.
We recognize the unique needs of each resident that stays at our facility For those staying for short term rehabilitation we offer rooms with many amenities provided to make his/her stay with us as comfortable as possible. These amenities include; phone, television, wi-fi, electric beds, and daily bathing assistance (by request). In order to assist our residents in recuperating as quickly as possible we offer therapy seven days per week, rather than six days, the standard at many facilities. We also have 20 private suites which allow our short stay residents a quieter space to heal and rest. Our goal is to assist our resident to return home when that is his/her desire, and we will provide the support required to help him/her achieve this goal. We take pride in the success of our short stay residents.
We provide 24-hour high quality nursing care for all of our residents. In addition, respite care is available so that caregivers can have a little well-deserved time off from providing care around-the-clock care to a loved one, and their loved one can experience a change of pace in a stimulating, safe environment.
Highland Care Center is Medicare and Medicaid-certified and also accepts private pay residents including long term care insurance. In addition, we are able to accept some private insurance. Our Bookkeeper is more than willing to answer any questions or assist you with any billing issues you may have.
